DM-5R Plus won't scan in the "CO" mode

I have a Baofeng DM-R5 Plus which will not scan when I put the radio in "CO" scan mode. By pressing the Menu key then press the down or up arrow key until you see "SC-REV" with "TO" or "CO" or "SE" under it. Press menu and then the down arrow until "CO" appears blow "SC-REV". Then press the menu and audio response will say "Confirm". Then press the Exit key. Then Hold down the scan key until audio response says "Scanning Begin" but it doesn't scan. It does scan in the "TO" and "SE" mode.
