On my newer BF-F9v2 it reverts back to the primary channel. I prefer the operation of the older firmware (BFB297); also the newer firmware doesn't allow to set the welcome header on turning on. I use the VIP software to program and use both the ALL version (eng) and the Chi ver. for firmware greater than BFB291. Is there a location to download a ver of VIP that would allow me to program TDR to stay on last freq received and set the name on the header on turn-on with the newer models
